St. Stephen's College Releases Cut Offs- Admission Procedure Explained

By Abhinandan Kaul in News

St. Stephen's college, one of the most prestigious educational institutions of the country has finally released its much anticipated cut off lists. Amidst the overload of information all thanks to the Digital Age we live in, many students are left confused with the admissions procedure for the college. However, this article will surely clear the clouds of doubt in students' minds.

St. Stephen's releases only 1 cut off list and candidates have to clear the cut off list to be eligible for the second round of the process- The Interview. The cut offs on the official website (www.ststephens.edu) are as follows-

Many students are confused as to what a "Rider" means! Don't worry, we've got your backs! A Rider is basically a minimum % of marks as student is required to score in a particular subject or an additional criteria apart from the cut offs which has to be fulfilled along with the cut off percentage to qualify for the interview. Further another important aspect to mention here is that there aren't any reservations for students from EWS and OBC categories. They have to clear the cut offs meant for General students. The College also doesn't offer any quota for ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities).

Those students who clear the cut offs, qualify for the interview and get an email of the Interview Call Letter at their registered email address. They can also login on their account of the St. Stephen's admission portal (account made while filling the separate admission form), and download their call letter.

Clearing the Cut Offs, But Didn't Receive The Letter?

However, this year, the Pandemic and its consequent lock downs had caused certain issues due to which certain board examinations were delayed and eventually canceled. Due to this, many applicants couldn't receive their original Class 12 bord mark-sheets on time.

The University of Delhi hence has introduced a new system of permitting applicants to edit their form once, so as to attach their mark-sheets and update documents if required. However, the Stephen's admissions form didn't have any such option and hence, many had to put in screenshots of their boards online results. In view of this, the college has released a notice explaining what such applicants have to do now. The notice asks students who couldn't submit a copy of their original mark-sheets in the form to send it to the college through mail with separate mail IDs designated to separate courses. In the mail, the students have to mention their Name, UG Application Number, Registered Mobile Number and Courses applied for.

List Of Email IDs-

Since the pandemic delayed the Class 12 Board Results, the re-evaluation procedure also automatically got delayed and hence, another very important notification the college released was pertaining to those who'd applied for re-evaluation of their Boards marks and didn't get their re-evaluated result during the time period of the admissions form. Such students, if clearing the cut offs with their reevaluated marks are required to download a form (Available Here), enter all necessary details in it, sign the undertaking mentioned and email the form with their re-evaluated mark-sheet to the specific emails as per their course which have been mentioned above.

Sports Applicants-

For those who've applied from the Sports Quota, the college had announced in its Prospectus, that a separate list of shortlisted candidates for the interviews will be published on the official website.

Best wishes to all applicants from Team Astitva!
